You came through with dozens of nominations, telling us about new and interesting Metro Vancouver mom bloggers to fete at our annual gala (and online). We visited the blogs, reviewed them, and narrowed with great difficulty our list down to just 30. We’re showcasing moms who care, create, bake, take killer Instagrams, sell products, write and share it all with us through their blogs and social feeds. This week we’re presenting the talented 2017 Top 30 Vancouver Mom Bloggers, in no particular order. Today we share our first six.

Jessica Wright of This Sweet Happy Life
Jessica Wright is a trained educator and mother of two living in Vancouver and shares her life and passions on her blog This Sweet Happy Life. After struggling through her first few years of motherhood and enduring her son’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, she is a strong believer that rainbows only come after weathering some storms. She started blogging to focus on what brings her true joy, which is her family, celebrating occasions, decorating spaces and educating not only kids, but, parents alike.
Gillian Rowinski of Unlearning SuperMom
Gillian Rowinski is the founder of Unlearning SuperMom. She’s a published writer, a certified professional coach, and an accomplished organizational effectiveness practitioner. Gillian writes about elevating consciousness by looking at all the ways our culture defines what it means to be a “good mom.” The martyrdom of being “busy”, putting everyone else first, running yourself ragged – she challenges these narratives in a way that will make you think and laugh. She writes regularly for The HuffPost and has been featured on FSLocal as a Mompreneur. Gillian lives in Port Coquitlam with her husband and three children.
Julie Horner, Dear Loves Blog
Julie is a photographer, small business owner, and blogger of Dear Loves Blog. She is also wife and mama of two little boys who daily inspire her to stay true to herself, always. She started blogging just under a year ago after finding herself constantly coming back to the idea. She loves to write, take photos, be creative and share real-life stuff on her blog. Blogging is her favourite thing to do at the end of a busy day, that and a hot bath. For the past three years, her goal was to work from home so she could be home with her boys, so to get to do what she loves and be at home with her favourite people is by far her greatest joy. Her blog is also a place she loves to share her daily joys and struggles of motherhood and life while in doing so popping in a few DIY posts. NB: Banner photo above is of Julie!
Izabela De Paz of The Cake Mama
The Cake Mama is a local baker that creates bespoke cakes and dainty sweet treats for all occasions. Izabela De Paz aka The Cake Mama, has been baking from scratch for over 10 years and has recently expanded her website to include a blog where she shares tutorials, party inspiration and her favourite baking products. In her free time, you’ll still find her in the kitchen recipe testing and enjoying a nice glass of wine while she’s at it! She is also the mother of 3 lovely children who inspire her creativity every day.”
Adrienne Neufeld, Adrienne Neufeld
Adrienne Neufeld is a mommy and lifestyle blogger. She lives in a house full of boys with her husband Blaine and their 9-month-old son Kash. Blogging is something she has wanted to do for quite some time but never had the guts to start anything. She finally put her fears aside (with some encouragement) and began trying to find her own voice. She tries to be as authentic as she can with a splash of sarcasm and a sprinkle of encouragement. But let’s be honest, she says “I don’t know what the heck i’m doing… but does anyone really?” She loves fashion, family, her faith and of course being a mom. She tries to intertwine all of the above. Her hope is to encourage others with a little bit of laughter and to take this mom thing a little less seriously while also posting nice pictures. 🙂
Clarissa Dingle of Life with Sass
Clarissa Dingle (AKA Sass), is a full-time secondary school teacher, blogger and single mama to 3 year old Hudson. She describes herself as a monochromatic minimalist, who writes about things from mom and kid fashion, to single parenting tips, to ridiculous dating stories, and everything in between. Her main goal is to help busy moms (and dads) maintain a humorous and sassy edge to their lives, no matter what they’re going through, all while looking and feeling good. She is also a huge advocate for shopping local, representing 100+ Canadian brands on her blog and social media accounts
