Whistler Children’s Festival, a summer must for families July 5-7, 2019
Thinking about visiting Whistler this summer but not totally sure what do to with the littles? If you want a slam dunk, guaranteed family fun weekend, head up the Sea to Sky for the Whistler Children’s Festival. It all takes place on July 5-7, 2019 with hands-on arts activities, live theatre, toe-tapping dance and music, and magical performances at Whistler Olympic Plaza. And of course, face painting that’s second to none!

This year’s theme is imagination unplugged and creativity sparked, and it’s the perfect chance for your kids to be inspired and connect with each other, and with you.
Whistler Children’s Festival Tips and Highlights
Arrive early: Head up on Friday for a free all-ages pyjama dance party from 4 -7 pm, hosted by a Whistler family favourite, DJ Ira. Stay all weekend and explore the festival on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am-4 pm.
Tickets: Tix are super reasonable $10/day for kids 3 to 10 years-old; while toddlers, kids 11+ and adults are free. Talk about a deal! Get tickets!
Hit the The Make-It Tent: A festival regular, the Make-It tent is back with arts and crafts for parents and caregivers to do with their kids. Fun Tickets can be purchased and exchanged for different activities in the Make-It Tent. All materials provided. (Fun Tickets are $5 a pop or 5 for $20).
Saturday Circus Act: No need to run away to the circus. The acrobats and unicyclists are here. Circus West will wow the kids with their jaw-dropping show: Fireflight: A Supernatural Circus.

Festival Finale: DJ Ira kicks off Sunday with a dance-off, while kiddie super faves Bobs and LoLo bring their hugely popular music and hijinks to the festival finale.
