{Giveaway} Five activities the kids will LOVE at Surrey Canada Day

Looking for a festive community event the whole family can enjoy on Canada Day? Well get down to the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheater on Saturday, July 1st for a ton of fun at Surrey’s Canada Day celebration! This signature event hosted by the City of Surrey features live performances with headliners Our Lady Peace and Bif Naked, over 20 food trucks, a zip-line, local exhibitors, kids and sports zones, games, amusement rides, kid friendly activities, and of course, fireworks!

5 Canada Day Surrey Kid Friendly Activities

This is a fest that has families top of mind. Check out these five just-for-kids activities.

Amusement Rides

The big and brave can get their thrills on the Zipper, the Spider, the Sizzler, Zero Gravity and much more. For the littles, there are Bumper Cars, the Berry (and Merry) Go Rounds, a gentle Train and Bouncy Castles. Tickets are reasonable $1.25 a pop with deals for bulk buys.

*New* Cloverdale Rodeo Zone

Giddyup to the new Rodeo Zone for western-themed activities including country music, bull riding, axe throwing (for real!), an inflatable corn maze, games for all ages, and live country music performances. Mom’s can also check out the  Summer Market in the Rodeo Zone featuring artisan goods from over 20 local vendors.

Try-Skateboarding & Rad Team Demo

Got a boarder or boarder wannabe in da house? Instructors will intro children and youth to the rad sport of skateboarding. The RAD Skates Demo Team will also be there to show off some their super pro tricks.

Kid’s World

Hosted by the Downtown Surrey BIA, this zone features fun Canada Day themed crafts for the kids, face painters and activities. Located on the Kids Stage, the young ones can see live performances from children’s entertainers including Rockin’ Robin, Norma McKnight, Jessie Farrell and more!

Toddler Town

Do you have a toddler who loves to run around with impunity? Visit this safe but fun space for young ones to run, play and have fun.

Sensory Space

Fairs and festivals can be stimulating spaces. If you need a calm and quiet supportive environment for your child with autism spectrum disorder, anxiety or sensory-processing needs, head to this soothing oasis created in partnership with Canucks Autism Network. This space offers a wide range of elements to support relaxation, including comfortable seating, sensory toys, books, games and noise-cancelling headphones.
