Sometimes Mother’s Day is best spent with the family. Here are some lovely mom and me or family outings and events you can enjoy with the kids or the whole fam damily! We’ve got an eclectic list of possibilities from mom and me yoga to high tea at the beach! Well it is Vancouver after all.

High Tea at the Secret Garden To GO!

Treat your mom to a Mother’s Day weekend High Tea to go! Outsource all the organizing and chopping and have your high tea en plein air. The kids can run around without feeling constrained and the food is all there to enjoy. Eat it at home or the beach.

Mother’s Day with a view!

Head out for a garden walk followed by Mother’s Day brunch with a view all at Queen Elizabeth Park.  There’s no shortage of family friendly things to do here. Wander through the gardens, play at the fountains, pop into the Bloedel Conservatory and then hit the patio at Seasons in the Park. It’s located at the highest point in the city with panoramic views over the city. The patio is kid friendly and the food is actually not super expensive. Given it is Mother’s Day, be sure to reserve.

Mom and Me Portraits at Lougheed Town Centre

May 12/13, noon to 3 pm

Head to the Lougheed Town Centre to their Mother’s Day Portrait Studio. Bring mom for a family photo, a special portrait of her, or a photo of you (hey why not?). There will be live music, giveaways, card making for the kids and hair and makeup touchups by Chatters Salon! But the best part? Portraits are by donation with proceeds going to the to Royal Columbian Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Bloom, Abbotsford Tulip Festival

May 12/13

Treat your mom to something special by bringing her for a visit on the final weekend of Bloom! It’s your last chance to see the tulips this season. One of the Lower Mainland’s most popular and picturesque display of tulips is Instagram mecca. The Bloom, Abbotford Tulip Festival features 10 acres of tulips blooming in a brilliant rainbow of colour. With over 35 varieties on display, this is the place to get your spring family photo.

Mother’s Day Storytime at Sea to Sky Gondola

May 10th, from 10-11:30 am

Join the Seas to Sky Gondola for a Mother’s Day themed storytime and craft at the Summit Lodge. This interactive storytime includes books, songs, rhymes and a craft themed around our love for mothers. Then take a head out for a walk and enjoy the views!

Run for Women

May 12 at Wesbrook Village

Celebrate the sisterhood and help support mental health by signing up for the Women’s Run up at Wesbrook Village. Choose a scenic 5K Walk /Run or 10K Run, and cheer on your kids in the Little Steps 1K run. All pledges and donations support women’s mental health programs at BC Women’s Hospital

Mom and Me Yoga by donation

May 11 and 12 at Community Studio 220, North Vancouver
