Vancouver Mom’s night out: Motherload opens tonight at the Cultch!

Motherload is back!
Back for another go after a hugely successful run last year, Motherload is a funny, intimate and bittersweet dark comedy about modern motherhood. Now that’s something we can all relate to, right? It stars the four actors who wrote and perform the show—Sonja Bennett, Jody-Kay Marklew, Juno Rinaldi, and Emelia Symington Fedy. They share their experiences of being moms with profound, funny, and bittersweet intimacy. The show combines intimate stories, personal photos, home videos, and raw emotion. You really can’t miss this one, guys.
The Georgia Straight sums it up this way: “Prominent Canadian theatre artists and mothers will share their personal stories about what it takes to be a member of the world’s biggest club.”
These women aren’t afraid to tell it like it is, with all the light and dark parts exposed. We could all use a little help finding the humour and beauty in it all, don’t you think? Do yourself a favour and make it to the play with friends, your partner, or even just a solo night out! Details on dates and tickets below.
