Place des Arts lets grown ups play with these arts events
We all know the value of a little time off from mama duty. It’s important (like, crucial) to make time for your own interests and to do that regularly. You probably put lots of energy into your kids’ extracurriculars, so much so that you often neglect to think about your own well-being. It’s time for that to change. Coquitlam’s Place des Arts Arts Centre and Music School has some pretty cool events and workshops to get you started on the path towards mom-me time.
Fun, creative, adults-only events
This fall, Places des Arts has come up with two Just for adults events designed to appeal to the 19+ set who are into taking part in arts and culture in a fun and social setting.

Nights with fascinating performers and speakers
Throughout the season, Place des Arts also hosts a Faculty Performance Series, featuring performances in music and theatre by the centre’s talented teaching faculty, and a Salon Speaker Series, featuring renowned guest artists in a variety of disciplines.
Needless to say, Place des Arts is a cultural hub that offers a ton of opportunities for adults to get immersed in art. If you’re looking for adult classes, they have those too. Find out more at the centre’s annual Open House on September 10 or visit placedesarts.ca for class listings and more.
