Joelle Walker of Kid Hangover
Joelle is the mom of two rascally children who keep her on her toes when she is not doing her “real” job as a lawyer. Joelle often dreams of living inside her Instagram feed but in reality spends a lot of time hiding in her pantry with a bag of beef jerky in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other. One day she may pull it together — until then she will continue to channel her harrowing adventures of an unbalanced life in the very recently launched blog (the type of hangover even a Caesar, an Advil and some sunglasses can’t fix).
Bonnie Way, Koala Bear Writer
Bonnie and her husband have three brown-eyed, brown-haired girls ages 7, 5 and 2. She’s the chief booboo kisser, soother finder, activity organizer, playdate planner, chauffeur, floor sweeper, book reader, and latte maker. She has a BA in English and Writing. Bonnie homeschooled for grades 1-12 and is now homeschooling her daughters. She is passionate about encouraging and connecting moms and likes drinking lattes and reading books. She blogs about everyday life as a mom, books she’s reading, great products for families, and tips and advice for parents.
Margery Healey of The Compassionate Parent Coach
Margery is a certified Parent Coach helping families create harmony within their home. After studying at the Parent Coaching Institute, a graduate program run through Seattle Pacific University, Margery knew she wanted to open her own practice supporting parents throughout North America. She continues to grow her knowledge base by attending courses at UBC and is currently writing her first book. Margery raises three boys of her own in which she cultivates her compassion through her experiences, knowledge and belief in the beautiful relationships we grow with our children.
Karen Barre of Spill it Mom
Karen finds life with her little people is so amazing, exhausting, overwhelming and hilarious that to keep her sanity she’s just gotta Spill It. This mom of three wants to live her messy life out loud by sharing real life parenting moments that will encourage other Moms “at least I’m not that bad”) and will foster connection with one another “at least I’m not the only one).” Her blog posts are equal parts honesty, humour and heart.
Nina Gonzalez of Nina on the Moon
Nina is a bilingual blogger from East Van. She is married to her best friend, has a 1-year-old daughter and have a feline friend named Bobi. They love to wander and explore. Her blog is about enjoying my life to the fullest, where I freely express my truth about eco-beauty/fashion, lifestyle, culture and family/baby. She hopes that when you are visiting, you feel nothing but positive vibes and inspiration.
Scarlett Ballantyne of Pretty Pinteresting
Scarlett is an experienced makeup artist, stylist, interior designer, facilitator, and business owner. Her corporate career included managing the colour brand for a large paint company and appearing on TV and in print media as a colour expert. After her kids got to school-age, Scarlett embarked on a successful direct-sales career, and she continues to coach, develop and mentor mompreneurs while pursuing her passion for creating by freelancing as a makeup artist. Scarlett writes and curates all pretty things relating to beauty, entrepreneurship and motherhood on her blog, but her most important job is as a mother to two teenage girls and a wife to a very supportive husband.
