Welcome the 2020 Lunar New Year at Metropolis at Metrotown where they are hosting over two weeks of family-friendly festivities set against an IG-worthy lantern display.
From January 24 to February 9, the Grand Court will be the home to a stunning display of 388 red lanterns, great for taking colourful snaps with the kids who love running down the middle of installation! And each weekend, lunar-related activities and performances perfect for kids take place. Think traditional and modern Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean dance, live music, paper craft and cookie decorating workshops, fortune telling workshops and consultations, and a travel through Asia photo booth.
Lunar New Year isn’t complete without a traditional Lion Dance so be sure to check out the fun starting at 10 am on January 29 as the Lion winds its way through the mall to provide the stores with its lucky blessings.
