A Year of Blessings: A Lunar New Year Original Audio Play For Kids

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with a charming tale featuring twin bunnies, Bunnifer and Bunnithy, as they discover the true meaning of Lunar New Year traditions at the Museum of Vancouver!

Enjoy a lively staged reading by Five Blessings performers, followed by a fascinating presentation on Vancouver’s Lunar New Year history by the Canadian Chinese Museum.

Perfect for kids aged 3+, this 45-minute event wraps up with fun activities like coloring pages and temporary tattoos!

Lucky Red Decorations

Celebrate Lunar New Year with a fun family crafting session! Learn the traditional Chinese art of paper cutting and create your own (good fortune) decoration to bring home.

Lunar New Year Family Celebration at Mackin House

Explore traditions through stories and songs with Yuto Books, available in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Browse English and Chinese books from Yuto Books and other Asian languages from the Coquitlam Public Library. Enjoy crafts, art activities, traditional snacks, and drinks all day. Don’t miss the chance to have a professional Lunar New Year photo taken at our themed potoshoot station. All ages and languages are welcome
