January at VancouverMom.ca: It’s About Wellness
When you’re a mom, it’s easy to let your own wellness fall by the wayside. In your busy life it can be hard to take time out for yourself. Here at VancouverMom.ca, we believe that your well-being matters. We’re moms, so we get it: kids are a lot of work. But we also know that it really is possible to enjoy your life as a mom. And so this January, as we’re all making New Year’s resolutions and planning a fresh start, we’d like to take some time to focus on you, and your wellness.
Physical Wellness
Getting in shape is one of the top resolutions that people make every year. When you’re a mom, finding time for fitness can be even harder. We’ll be sharing some ideas for fitting exercise into your busy life this month. But physical wellness isn’t just about your dress size – it’s about taking a much bigger snapshot of your overall health. We want to help you find ways to look good and feel good. Because every mom deserves that!
Mental Wellness
Do you really need a break? We could all use a little bit of time to rejuvenate. Whether that means taking a trip to the spa, finding a great local eatery, doing some shopping or taking a class, we’ve got you covered. We know that sometimes you can’t get away from your kids, so we’re including some ideas for stuff you can do with your little ones. They say that a change is as good as a rest, and sometimes just getting out of the house can do wonders for your mental health.
Finding Yourself
Behind every mom is a woman with her own interests, ideas and sense of style. Maybe you haven’t seen her for a while, but you know she’s there. At VancouverMom.ca, as we put you in touch with some great stuff here in the city, one of our big goals is to help you find that person again. Having kids changes everything, there’s no doubt about it. But it doesn’t have to mean the end of everything that you used to enjoy. We hope that you’ll be able to take some time this month to get back in touch with yourself.
How are you making your own wellness a priority this month?

Thanks for the Big ‘3’. For most of the years of my children’s lives, woman kicked around the wellness idea, until we got sick. I’m still a mom all these years later and getting sick is the wrong side of the ‘wellness’ equation. Think now. Act now.
