Five Brunch Spots
Craving eggs benny, pancakes and Americanos? But what about the kids? Here are a few of our favourite family friendly Vancouver brunch spots.
Café Zen
A brunch staple in Kitsilano, just a few blocks from the beach. Some of the yummiest eggs benedict in town. Breakfast is served all day long.
1631 Yew St, Vancouver, (604) 731-4018
Café Medina
Stylish and exceptional brunch goodness downtown. Delish Belgian waffles, lavender lattes, and the unique, unmissable Harissa Pain Plat.
780 Richards St. (between Robson & Georgia) Library District, Vancouver, 604-879-3114
Sunshine Diner
Comfortable, family-style diner on West Broadway in Kits. Serving all the brunch staples – eggs, bennies, omelettes and hand-pressed burgers. Kids menu.
2649 W Broadway, Vancouver, (604) 733-7717
Marché St George
French-inspired neighbourhood café in east Vancouver. Delicious selection of sweet and savoury breakfast specials (can you say flaky croissants?), including gluten-free options.
E 28th Ave, Vancouver, (604) 565-5107
Café du Soleil
Commercial Drive brunch staple, with emphasis on vegetarian breakfast options. Wide choice of vegetarian and vegan goodies, in a cozy, child-friendly atmosphere.
1393 Commercial Dr, Vancouver, (604) 254-1145
Bonus -> Cafe Deux Soleils
Not to be confused with the aforementioned (although it frequently is), this long-time Commercial Drive brunch spot is a family favourite with funky egg (and tofu) dishes to please all palates big and small.

I think you got Cafe Deux Soleils, the image used at the top of your article, and Cafe du Soleil confused. Both on Commercial but the one you listed as number 5 on your list is different than the one you have a photo of. Pretty sure you’re talking about Cafe Deux Soleils at 2096 Commercial Drive.
Thanks! Fixed.
