Vancouver Mom > Family Fun

Labour Day weekend is the symbolic end of summer what with school, work and all those activities coming at us. It’s also summer’s final hurrah, and a great time to catch up on some of the things you may have missed (or loved) over the summer like outdoor swimming, gorging yourself at the Richmond Night market or taking one final coaster ride at the PNE.

There’s tons of FREE fun this weekend with the epic Fusion Festival in Surrey, the opening of the Shipyards in North Van (Bobs & Lolo fans take note!), the Apollo 50 celebration at the Space Centre, Rib Fest in Port Moody, Snack ‘N Snap at Metropolis at Metrotown and the African Descent Fest at Thornton Park in Vancouver. The Folk Fest kicks off on Friday, and it’s free for the under 12s.

Enter Kidtropolis, an indoor city where kids get to roam around and play in a safe environment that sparks their imaginations. There are so many possibilities for creative play here! Children become firefighters, police officers, dentists, veterinarians, restaurant owners, teachers, stage performers and more.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. An entire day devoted to LOVE? No wonder kids get so excited! Love starts with family. We’ve put together some of our favourite activities for you and your kids to celebrate this special occasion in Metro Vancouver. Valentine’s events especially for babies, toddlers and preschoolers! Play time for…
