St. Patrick’s Day is this week, and while many are gearing up for a night out, parents with kids might be looking for family-friendly ways to celebrate. If you’re wondering what to do in Vancouver this St. Patrick’s Day for some kid-friendly fun, we have some suggestions!

What to do in Vancouver for a Kid-Friendly St. Patrick’s Day

Downtown Vancouver

Get ready for a magical celebration at CelticFest Vancouver’s live, free concert, returning this year to celebrate its 20th anniversary!

Head to šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza) on Saturday, March 16, for a day filled with family-friendly fun. The event features a main stage with artists performing from 11 am to 9 pm, a marketplace, a family zone, and onsite bars. It’s the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your little ones!

Join the the Family Zone from 10 am to 5 pm for a day filled with fun activities! Enjoy games, coloring, face painting, stickers, giant connect-four, and more.

Don’t miss Jess Murray, the CelticFest Irish storyteller, as she shares Celtic myths, tales, and activities at 10 am, 12:15 pm, and 2 pm.

Catch Showstoppers, a glee-like youth performing choir, on stage at 11:15 am.

Experience a Youth GAA demonstration featuring kids Gaelic football and hurling at 12:55 pm.

Throughout the day, there will also be Irish dancers and other family-friendly musical acts to keep the fun going!
