Spring Break 2017: Camps for all kinds of kids

Two weeks off school, preschool or daycare sounds like fun for the kids, but it’s chaos for parents. With 14 days to fill, why not sign them up for a spring break camp one week and go exploring the next. We’ve hand-picked a few Spring Break  camps to cover most tastes from nature and sports to the arts and cooking!

Have a limelight-lover on your hands? Sign them ups for a  fun week of drama camp including drama games and activities. Students even get to attend Dr. Suess’ The Cat in the Hat production and get an inside view of a professional production.

Stanley Park Ecology Day Camps

Spring Break

We are so lucky to an natural haven in our own backyard. Send the kids on an educational adventure amid the towering trees, sandy beaches and hidden wetlands of Stanley Park. Spot wild animals like otters and beavers, have a blast splashing at the beach, and learn while spending valuable time outdoors.

Sprouting Chefs Cooking Camp

Get the kids involved in cooking using local ingredients, ones they can grown in the backyard! Sprouting Chefs highlights what can be grown locally and in the Forest Grove School Garden. Recipes will all be centred around what kids can do at home with and for their families from basic pasta meals, learning how to use herbs, soups and lunch ideas to healthy snacks and desserts.

Spring Break

These Lego camps incorporate science, technology, engineering and math skills in a fun environment. Camp options include robotics, space adventures, superheroes, angry birds and even junior robotics. Locations all around Metro Vancouver.
Half day camps offered or book two half days for a full day of activities.

The Richmond Oval isn’t just about speed skating these days. In fact, they offer almost every sport imaginable perfect for super-active kids. Their spring break camps include badminton, baseball, table tennis, volleyball, floorball, skating, hockey, soccer, power skating as well as Sport Tots and Tumble Tots for 4-5 year-olds.

Knight Camp at Academie Duello

Knight Camp at Academie Duello is the only authentic knight school for youth in Canada. The five-day camp curriculum is focused on the skills of becoming of a knight – from martial arts of the longsword and sword and shield – to the practice of knightly virtues such as courage and integrity. Students at Knight Camp learn about history, leadership, heraldry, archery, medieval games and more.
