Seven family friendly events in Vancouver this weekend, December 14-16, 2018
The holiday season is really hopping, and there are loads of family holiday events in Vancouver. This weekend, there are two parties for the littlest of festive folks at Circus Play Cafe and at Main St’s Chorus and Clouds. Craft fair fans won’t want to miss the Make it! market at the PNE, and in New West, it’s the annual Santa Claus parade. Fort Langley’s annual holiday fest takes place this weekend with Santa, music, crafts and more, and it’s the final weekend to board the Polar Express in Squamish. Grab a ticket if there are any left! Of course there are tons of ongoing Christmas events too. Check it out and have a holly jolly weekend!

Christmas in the Village

This 4th annual fest features Santa and his elves, live Christmas music and singing, twinkly lights, 50 vendors with everything from holiday baking, spices and craft beer and wine to to custom jewelry, natural local sheepskin slippers, woollens for babies and adults.
Pajama Christmas Dinner Party

Make it! Craft Fair

This is the final big craft fair of the season, and it’s a biggie. The Make It! market at the PNE has it all – clothing, accessories, art, home decor, gourmet goodies, baby and kid items and other unique treasures. Plus, food trucks and a beer garden to get you in the festive spirit.

Mix high and low culture at the VSO by watching this classic, kid-friendly holiday favourite to a backdrop of composer John Williams’ charming and delightful score performed live to as the movie plays, by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
New Westminster Santa Parade

Picture fabulous floats and entertainment along historic Columbia Street. Kids can also come into Anvil Centre between 10:00 am – 1:00 pm to write and send their letters to Santa with Canada Post’s holiday helpers. Arrive early for a good spot, bundle up and … prepare for rain!
The Polar Express

Can you hear the bell? If you still believe, this is your last chance to board the Polar Express. This is the final weekend for the magical festive train ride to the ‘North Pole.’ Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and carolling. Meet Santa and Mrs Claus, ride the mini train, drive their own train on a massive model train layout, and take part in other Christmas-themed activities such as decorating gingerbread cookies.
