Welcome to artmania, a place for people and art!
We are a team of highly creative and enthusiastic artists with a passion for sharing our knowledge through classes for all ages. At artmania, we are happy to be celebrating our 14th year of bringing art classes to elementary schools across the lower mainland. We are also very proud of our newest addition to the company, a studio and gallery space in the heart of beautiful Dundarave Village, West Vancouver.
What we do:
artmania offers fun and exciting art classes for children and adults. At our studio, we provide the creative setting for a hands on art experience through classes and workshops. We also bring the artmania experience to your local school, offering lunchtime and after school classes.
We offer art parties and workshops at our studio, in your home, or work place. Each event is custom designed to suit your needs. We have a selection of parties to choose from that range from printmaking, wacky crush t-shirts, funky sculptures, cool screen-printed bags and more.
Our gallery showcases and supports unique and emerging local artists.
Please feel free to contact us by phone, through our website, or by visiting our studio to find out more about our programs!
The Lyceum is a place full of stories – we have the largest private children’s library in the city. Our camps start with great works of literature, which we take great delight in sharing. We use these to inspire the creation of incredible works of art and writing, or the weaving of shared imaginative spaces where really anything can happen.
The centre is run by Dr. Christianne Hayward, who is a legend in Vancouver’s education and children’s literature communities. She has created this magical space where there’s a focus on making for the joy it brings, and being part of a creative community.
What we hope children will learn is that making things – whether it’s a painting, a story, an ordinary box into something truly extraordinary – is a sustaining and lifelong activity. We also hope that when they leave our camps they have a greater sense of how curiosity transforms into possibility.
The Lyceum also offers delightful art and literature-based summer camps (that may even involve fairies!) all summer long for ages 3-18.
With 212 acres of skiable terrain, Grouse Mountain has been welcoming visitors to our slopes to enjoy the best in downhill sports since our inaugural season in 1926. Grouse Mountain is also home to The Peak of Christmas, hosts amazing summer adventure camps for kids as well as summer hikes and activities.
Summer at Grouse Mountain
From Grizzly bears to Black-tailed deer, nature hikes to evening bonfires, Grouse Mountain boasts a wonderful wild-side that has never been more accessible. Get up close with our resident Grizzly bears, Grinder and Coola in their 5 acre mountaintop sanctuary or watch a falcon take flight at our Birds in Motion demonstration. Stroll over to our World-famous Lumberjack Show or take that stroll a little further on a Guided-Eco Walk. Learn about the Mountain’s flora and fauna in the Into the Wild Interpretive Zone and finish off your day around our evening bonfire listening to guitar music.
The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is a non-profit community resource. Through innovative programming, exhibits, and activities, our goal is to educate, inspire and evoke a sense of wonder about the Universe, our planet and space exploration.
Visitors can learn about space and the night sky through planetarium star theatre shows, live demonstrations, and an interactive exhibit gallery.

At Music Together, we believe that all children are musical. Studies show that, with the enough exposure to music-making experiences at a young age, children can achieve Basic Music Competence (being able to sing in tune and keep a beat) between the ages of 4 and 6. We are all born with a certain amount of musical potential but whether we achieve this potential depends less on our genetics and more on our interaction with music making! Musical development in children is a lot like language development. We need to interact directly with that language and play around with the sounds and babble and experiment with rhythms and movement.
Music Together wants to empower your family to become confident music makers and take those songs you sing in the shower into the living room and get out the pots and pans for a kitchen band and have family dance jams! At Music Together, we provide a safe, fun environment where everyone can feel comfortable participating in music making. This gives each child a rich, informal learning environment to soak up this language called music. At this age, children learn through play and that is what we do at Music Together. We play with music and through our play we achieve competence. At Music Together, you will join a community of music makers and be given the knowledge, ideas and confidence to bring music making into your home.
“Thank you so much for the wonderful Music Together classes! Elise loves coming to class and sings the songs and rhythms all day. What a wonderful introduction to music for her.” Dahlia – Vancouver Music Together mom
“Music Together is so far the best thing we have done for our little one, that’s for sure.” Tanja – Vancouver Music Together mom

Young Entrepreneur Learning Labs was created to introduce children to the world of entrepreneurship at an early age, and to teach them important life skills they can apply to any career choice, in any economic environment.
YE Learning Labs aspires to make our programs accessible to all children as we believe every child can benefit greatly from learning the skills associated with entrepreneurship, business, and responsible money management. Our programs teach kids vital business, communication, and financial literacy skills.
Not every child will be an entrepreneur when he or she grows up, but fostering an entrepreneurial spirit at an early age will help them lead confidently, think critically and creatively, solve problems, be financially responsible, and most importantly, it will help empower them to take charge of their careers and futures in any economic condition.
These real-world skills are invaluable for all children in today’s unpredictable future, regardless of their background, grades, or aptitudes. Tomorrow’s jobs and economy are going to be created by the leaders and entrepreneurs we foster today. We believe in inspiring and supporting children to do extraordinary things.
