Why did you get into photography?

Coming from a family of artists I’ve always had a passion for photography, art and design. Its just been the past two years that I have used that passion towards creating images that clients can cherish. Nothing better than capturing the perfect moment, a spontaneous laugh, the look of love in a persons eyes, the confidence of a young person stepping out into the world. Its something that makes me happy and what’s better than a profession that makes you happy?

Tell us a bit about your company.

Carol Kerfoot Photography specializes in photography that celebrates your life with a strong focus on High School Seniors. I believe that graduation is one of the most exciting times of your life. Its a step into adulthood where one door closes and another door opens. I want to capture that time in a style that suits you. Who you are now and who you strive to be. I make it fun, modern and funky. I want you to feel like a rock star, a model, and beautiful just as you are. I shoot digitally under natural light and take time to allow your expressions to come naturally and effortlessly.

How would you characterize your style of photography?

Simple yet Full of Life. I have a strong passion for natural unstaged photography and believe that a photograph should tell a story about a moment in time.

Who are your clients?

People who want real images of real people. My clients are mothers looking to capture a photograph of their growing family, brides looking for a photographer to document their wedding day, actors who need that perfect headshot that will get them the part, and high school seniors who want photographs of their life their style.

What should your mom clients expect when working with you?

A relaxed get together with a good friend. I think I have a knack at making people feel comfortable and I want them to enjoy their photography experience as much as the images that result. If my clients feel good it will show in the images I take. Having three children of my own, I can naturally relate to the busy schedule of being a mother. When photographing their children I want them to feel at ease with the photographer they have chosen and I think I make that happen.
