Snow, ice, rain and sunshine showed up in February sending the city into typical pre-spring confusion. Do we need umbrellas and snowboots, and where is that toboggan anyway? Many headed to the hills for some snowboarding and some just stuck to lowlands and built snowmen in their front yards. Add Family Day, Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day and what a speedy month! Today, we cap it all off with #pinkshirtday – how great is it to see thousands of school kids donning pink to take a stand against bullying online and off.

As usual, Vancouver moms snapped some gorgeous Instagram photos. Check out Vancouver Mom’s Instagram feed for all kinds of #instamoments.

Happy Lunar New Year … almost! How lovely is this photo? ❤️ Repost from @raisingos using – •Chinese New Year’s Eve• I remember New Year’s Eve used to be so busy. We have to make sure the house is clean, so we can have a clean start. Stocking our fridge for the next few days crazy meals and no stores will be open for few days. Most of the people will be stocked in traffic trying to get back to their family. We have to stay as late as we could on New Year’s Eve, because people believe the later you stay, longer your parents will live. Not to mention there might be the “new year monster” coming 😂 I’ve been away from home for 10 years already. Not much of Chinese New Year’s feel in Canada too. But I will pulled what my mom used to say “I will keep your red envelopes in your bank account for you 😉” and they will never see it again 😆🤫 . . . 👌🏼🌈🎊 Repost from @helloterumi “Rainy weekends are for shopping, arting and filling my heart with all the love I can. I am finding February so wet and dreary already that I got really homesick- we skipped ski lessons and made an impromptu trip to Vancouver to mend my soul. We stopped in at the art gallery and a new exhibit by Takashi Murakami just opened: the 🐙 eats its own leg. It’s a little odd sounding and parts of it are a little scary-ish, but also really fascinating and hopeful. I’m hoping too that by embracing February in all its ups and downs, we are all the better for it. And taking in art with loved ones is a great way to spend a blustery day. Do you like visiting art galleries too? “ #trekarooing #seattleblogger #vancouver #visitvancouver #vancouverartgallery * * * * * * * #vancouvermom #vancouverkids #moms #yvrmoms #yrkids #vancouver #kids #winter #familyfun #veryvancouver #vanfam #momlife #momsofinstagram #instacute
