Vancouver Mom to Follow: Monica Manalo
This week’s Mom to Follow is Monica Manalo lives in the Champlain area in East Vancouver. She’s a super Instagrammer and fun mom to Jermaine Riley aka Baby Maui who is 10 months old. She’s technically a mom of four (if you including her husband, Paul and her two fur babies, Nala and Kovu). Currently on mat leave, she is using her time to explore Vancouver before heading back to work.
Monica loves to be a part of the local community. She can be found with Maui at Family Place (at the River District), Babytime / Storytime (at the Champlain library) and Tot Swimming at Killarney Community Centre. She also volunteers at local markets, fairs, and events all over Metro Vancouver. She is truly a mom about town!

Rain or shine, we will go! This ice cream joint is one of our favourites. Did you know they give free mini cones for your little ones? And what about that famous pink wall!
Taste and Circle
Great spot to chill! Hidden in Gastown, known for their selfie lattes! They feature a pop up corner of local brands and a mini art gallery featuring local artists.

Science World
The “Wonder Gallery” is perfect for your little ones! It’s super baby/toddler friendly and convenient as there is a quiet nursing room. Great place to meet new friends before the babes start school 😊

Circus Play Cafe
An indoor playground for the kids and a cafe for mamas?! Need I say more? Great place to go to go on a rainy day. We are currently taking the intelliplay program and absolutely love it! They host many different classes and workshops for parents and their kids!

Flight Path Park
This was our go-to date parks before we had the baby! You get to watch airplanes land. Still love it until now, can’t wait to see how the little one reacts once he’s able to!
