Get in on the holiday cheer at Wesbrook Village, starting December 3rd

Wesbrook Village is really good at celebrating tradition in a way that’s fresh and unique. To that end, Christmas 2016 in Wesbrook is going to be totally memorable with lots of fun family-friendly events starting December 3rd.

Wesbrook’s holiday festivities

The Wesbrook Welcome Centre will be transformed into a festive Balloon Winter Wonderland. The exhibit will feature four familiar holiday scenes, made with over 2,500 biodegradable, nitrogen-filled balloons. This unique holiday feature lifts off on Saturday, December 3rd and runs until Sunday, December 18th.

Wesbrook Holiday Craft Fair

On Dec 3rd from 10 am – 5 pm, check out the Holiday Craft Fair at the Wesbrook Community Centre. There will be over 50 local artisans and vendors will gather in the spirit of the season, presenting unique and creative wares in knitting, soap, jewelry and more.

Holiday in Wesbrook will also include:

Photos with Santa – Young revelers are invited to take a photo with Santa at the Blenz coffee shop on December 3 from 11am to 1pm.

Balloon Contest Draw – Visitors can enter to win their own 4-foot balloon Snowman to take home. The prize will be drawn on December 19.

Festive Music – The UBC Thunderbird Band and carollers from UBC Theatre entertaining crowds and infusing the neighbourhood with holiday cheer, on December 3 starting at 12pm.

Some local businesses will be hosting other holiday events, including brunch at BierCraft Restaurant, the area’s favourite watering hole, a tea sampling at Murchie’s, face-painting at Fido, and a kids’ craft and colouring station at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.
