Fun family events happening around Metro Vancouver in July, you ask?
If July isn’t your favourite month, just give it a chance this year.
From Bubble Tea Festivals to keep you cool to an epic revamp of A Midsummer Nights Dream by Bard on the Beach- July is doing its best to start summer with a bang!
Vancouver Folk Music Festival
This three day festival is laid back and family friendly! Back for its 42nd year this summer, the Vancouver Folk Fest has a great line up. Passes to the Folk Festival are FREE for kids 12 years or younger
Honda: Celebration of Light
Summer doesn’t feel complete without the Celebration of Light. This year Japan will open on the 23rd, followed by Canada on the 27th and the finale with Spain on the 30th. Head to English Bay or Kits for the best views.
Theatre Under the Stars
A performance under the stars is a summer must! Do you have Hamilton fans in your home? It’s time to add to their musical pallet by introducing them to Theatre Under the Stars! This year there are two performances that are sure you have musical lovers singing and dancing:
Bard on the Beach
Bard on the Beach is back! We are most excited about that the three plays are:
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Romeo and Juliet
We also love that they have family days with relaxed performances. Book your ticket on July 17th for a Midsummer Night’s Dream or their August 14th show. Infants and children of all ages are welcome at Family Day & Relaxed Performances in the company of a parent or guardian. Children aged 2-5 require a ticket.
We are so excited that Summer Cinema at Stanley park has retuned! What a line up of films to enjoy completely FREE! Grab a blanket and you family because this is such a special outdoor event. Fresh air and lots of cuddles, all the things summer is about!
