Walk into a winter wonderland at the Sea to Sky Gondola
Who doesn’t want to get into the snow at this time of year? Vancouver is a stunning place to place to live, but sometimes, you need to get up into snow-capped mountains to feel like a true Canadian. Luckily, it’s a veritable winter wonderland up at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish right now and all season long. Head up for spectacular views of Howe Sound and surrounding mountains, and stay for holiday fun, snowy activities and cozy food and drink.
Four wintry things to do at Sea to Sky Gondola
Enjoy the Spirit of Christmas
Explore the decorated Spirit Trail. Step into a wintry forest of whimsical lights and holiday decorations. For a picture perfect adventure, visit the Forest of Frames along the trail (can you say Instagram?). The trail is wheelchair and stroller trail friendly and leads back to the Summit Lodge where you can warm up with hot cocoa by the fire. (Runs until January 7th)

Dine on a mountain top
Treat yourself to the ultimate cozy, mountain-top dining experience. A variety of delectable fondues, the quintessential cold-weather, mountain meal, are offered daily from the Eatery during the winter season. Hmmm, will it be traditional Swiss gruyere, Quebecois, Italian or chocolate fondue? Decisions, decisions! Oh did we mention the magnificent view? (No reservations required.)
Go tubing
Enjoy the old-fashioned thrill of tubing. The tube park offers sliding fun for all ages. At the height of tubing season, there are four lanes for varying sliding levels. Close your day with a cup of hot chocolate and a Chippy’s Tail (think Beaver Tail) by the cozy fire pit.

Head out on a guided headlamp hike
Escape the clatter and clang of the city and discover pristine solitude in the outdoors on a guided sunset headlamp hike or snowshoe. If conditions permit, the group will snowshoe instead of hike. Perfect for date night!
