These guys started online and now have a super awesome little shop down on Granville Island. They have the best collection of things you never knew you needed at their old school/new school general store. Lots of handmade and local goods.

There’s loads arts-umbrella_image3of drawing, painting, and dance classes out there, and while those are great, sometimes you want to try something different. One of my favourite things about classes at Arts Umbrella is the sheer range of materials available to play with.

There’s nothing fun about trying to restrain a small person during a quiet class. Don’t give up on arts classes though – there are lots of options for wigglers and spontaneous performers.
