This is a lovely spot to picnic and the scenery is spectacular on a clear day. Bring books and a blanket at sunset and have the best view in the city!

Stanley Park Rose Garden

With over 50 varieties of roses you’re bound to find at least one you like. Well maintained and beautifully landscapes even the hummingbirds love it here. Theatre under the Stars (cancelled for 2029) is close by as well as lots of grassy areas to play with kids and picnic.

Just off Pipeline Road, near the Stanley Park main West Georgia St. entrance.

Van Dusen Botanical Garden

Open year round, there are more than just roses here, so if you’re wanting a flower fix, this is the place to be! Enjoy the wildlife, birds, geese, ducks and fish, buy some seeds to grow your own roses and enjoy a latte at Truffles Cafe or brunch at Shaughnessy Restaurant.

Queen Elizabeth Park

This rose garden sits atop the highest point in the city and has been inspiring the noses of rose goers since 1967. Ample picnicking areas are scattered throughout the park as well as duck ponds, pitch and putt, tennis courts, an epic water fountain, and the Bloedel Conservatory.
