Testing Organic Baby Products from Maple Organics

Are you looking for organic baby products for your organic baby? Guest contributor Andrea Firmani gives Maple Organics a test run.

I’m a self proclaimed product junkie and love a lush lather in the bathtub. So, when Maple Organics gave me the opportunity to test out three different products on my wee baby I was happy to oblige.

Thoughtful Consideration

As a parent I put thoughtful consideration into what body products I choose to buy for my babies. Often, the products we purchase for our babies are highly critiqued and I like to consider myself a savvy parent consumer. Of course, as parents we all really only want the best for our little ones and that includes what personal products we buy for them.

Maple Organics gave me the baby wash, shampoo and diaper ointment and off I went into serious product testing mode, taking me wee baby girl off to the bath tub! There are a three things that I look for when I buy body products for babies: the ingredient list, whether it is a ‘clean’ or organic product, and where the product is made. I was very pleased that Maple Organics is a Vancouver based company and I liked what they stand for. It was also very easy to find the answers to my three product questions on their website.

Clear Ingredients

Vancouver creator and founder Rosy Atwal is very clear on what ingredients go into their line of baby bath products. There is no wondering what makes up the lavender scented baby goodies. All ingredients are easy to read, no scary sounding words, and essential oils are used for aromatherapy instead of manufactured chemical based scents.

I particularly enjoyed using the Maple Organics baby wash during bath time. The baby wash pumps out in a soft foam which makes it easy to wash and hold baby and there is no need to stop and create a lather. I also liked that I could just use one product bottle during bath time while I’m bathing my slippery baby.

Great Organic Baby Line

The diaper ointment has multiple uses as the directions suggested to massage my baby’s skin with it before bath time and then follow up with the baby wash, a nice routine to get into. The diaper ointment is a zinc free lavender scented balm.

Check out the Maple Organics website to read how this local company is Canada’s first organic baby line! Maple Organics baby product line would make a fantastic boutique gift for a new parent or as an addition to your own baby’s bath time routine.
