This weekend, March 5 and 6, the Vancouver Art Gallery is hosting its Family FUSE Weekend, a popular art exploration program that allows families to Speak Loud through art, music, dance and other creative forms.

For festive fun and artful gift ideas, the Vancouver Art Gallery makes a great holiday family destination. The exhibitions, Gallery Store and Gallery Cafe will be open regular hours (closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day) and the usual family programs take place on weekends.

Kids and parents can have an extraordinary time with ordinary things at the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Family FUSE Weekend on November 27th and 28th. Presented three times annually, Family FUSE Weekend presents families wiht a whole new way of exploring art and is just one of several educational programs aimed at enhancing visitor experiences, while offering new ways to view, discuss and think about art.

My daughter and I went on a date last weekend. We got dressed up and jumped on the bus headed for downtown. After several weeks of juggling my attention back and forth between family members, work and other obligations, my preschooler and I needed some time for just the two of us. Our destination was The Vancouver Art Gallery’s weekend program for kids, The Making Place.
