Trending: Dog friendly LunarFest at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza
Dog loving families will want to head to the Vancouver Art Gallery’s stunning new plaza with the pooch for this weekend’s dog-themed LunarFest event. Yup, you can bring Fido to this arts and cultural celebration of this year’s Chinese New Year.
This free two-day festival features lunar traditions, culinary delicacies, crafts, traditional lunar performances, art installations and more.
Visit the Children’s Festival booth and make a pair of Lunar New Year’s doggie ears!
Meet the “Canadog – The Space Husky, ” an inflatable husky from the stars (see above!) and immerse yourself and your family in creativity and innovation with Chinese arts and crafts. Lose yourself in a sea of stars in Moon Crawl, find your fortune for the new year, and bring home a Puppy Lantern (or doggie ears) for a new friend.
It all takes place this Saturday and Sunday Feb 24 & 25th. Admission is FREE for all friends – whether two-legged or four!
PS: If you don’t bring (or have) a dog, you are also welcome, and you could head inside afterwards to the Gallery’s vibrant new show featuring the work of Takashi Murakami.
