What drew you to working with kids and families?
Delivering specialized dental care for infants, toddlers, teens and young adults is not for anyone. Dr. Chin is committed to providing a peaceful office environment and has the compassion and experience to manage a diverse range of emotional and dental needs. Dr. Chin enjoys the privilege of fostering positive dental experiences and believes that his calmness and pragmatism has helped to develop a client base in the tens of thousands. How do you keep nervous kids calm and focused?
The key to our success is our ability to work efficiently and to always strive for the best clinical results for all of our Smiley patients. We focus on communication, both with our Smiley kids and Smiley parents. We provide a relaxed and welcoming office culture and an energy that is helpful for our nervous Smiley kids.
What special toys do you have for kids?
We have treats for all of our Smiley kids after each appointment. We prefer to be environmentally conscious, so we rather focus on developing healthy experiences, by minimizing the technology overload for children; even though we use a lot of technology in our practice to deliver modern dental care. We participate in local community events that develop strong Smiley kid ambassadors.
We believe in personal growth and accountability for one’s dental health. We encourage all families, when appropriate, to allow their children to be independent at the dental office. We find that such independence helps to build confident and well adjusted young adults. Prior to your child’s visit, if there is uncertainty about how your child will behave, we encourage you to defer your concerns to our highly trained staff and allow your child to have an independent experience by allowing us to develop a healthy experience for your child.
