We topped 9,000 votes this year, and we’re pleased to announce that our 2017 Top Vancouver Mom Blogger is Olivia Lasting of This West Coast Mommy! Congratulations Olivia!

Olivia is a social worker, advocate, wife, mother, and the blogger behind This West Coast Mommy. When the kids came along, she temporarily put her career on hold to focus on raising kind, happy, healthy, and adventurous children. Becoming a mother to two feisty girls has been both the greatest and most challenging work of her life, as well as the inspiration for starting her blog and living life a little greener every day. When she’s not taking photographs of her kids and the beautiful natural scenery surrounding us, you can find her experimenting in the kitchen, ordering sushi rolls, or buried in a good sci fi novel.

Here’s what she had to say:
I was surprised and grateful just to be nominated with such a talented group of bloggers this year, and to actually be voted 2017’s Top Vancouver Mom Blogger is a tremendous honour.
One of the most important things I’ve learned over the last four years of blogging is that you never know how and when something you write will have a meaningful impact on another person. Blogging has given me opportunities and relationships that I would never have had otherwise, and I’m so grateful to all the readers who’ve taken the time to visit with me, gotten to know me and my family, chatted with me on Facebook, and supported this little project of mine. You are the reason I’m here!

2017 Runners Up
