West Side Family Place: Fall Frenzy Gala
It’s no secret that when you’re looking for kid-friendly fun on the West Side, the West Side Family Place is where it’s at. The building at 2819 West 11th in Vancouver offers drop-in sessions and programs aimed at the five-and-under set. It offers a perfect refuge for a stir-crazy toddler on a rainy Vancouver day.
West Side Family Place
In fact, West Side Family Place was the first family resource centre in English-speaking Canada. It got its start back in 1973 – that’s a lot of years of family-friendly support, and it’s still going strong. It serves over 500 families annually and sees over 20,000 visits from adults and young children each year. It’s the only family resource centre on Vancouver’s West Side, and they’re holding an event to raise money so that it can continue its important work.
Fall Frenzy
On October 23, 2014, West Side Family Place will hold its ninth annual Fall Frenzy Gala event to raise funds for its early childhood learning programs and family support services. The evening promises laughter, canapes, drinks, raffle, live and silent auction, and a hilarious show by the talented improv performers of Vancouver TheatreSports League. Think of it as a date night in support of a place your kids enjoy during the daytime.
