Threading eyebrows is a form of wizardry. The job has to be performed by deft and experienced hands creating the perfect arch, lifting the eyebrow and ultimately resulting in the illusion of youthfulness around the eyes. I went to my first Vancouver eyebrow threading appointment at 4 Angels Beauty Care and placed my brows in the hands of owner and esthetician, Navkiran. This Vancouver mom needed some beauty and relaxation treatment after spending the morning at Children’s Hospital.
Leave It To The Experts
Navkiran has 25 years experience eyebrow threading. My fear of leaving with no eyebrows dissipated as I stared up at her perfectly plucked brows, and as she marked my brows with white pencil to show me the shape she was planning to achieve. A mother of two grown children, Navkiran is a nurturer by nature and understands the busy schedule of moms.
“Nowadays moms are balancing so many roles, mother, wife and professional. At 4 Angels we wanted to create a place where moms can come and relax while getting a beauty treatment.”
After marking my brows with her white pencil, Navikran began the threading process. In anticipation of pain, I reminded myself that threading could not compare to the pain of natural childbirth or getting waxed in the nether regions. It would also be worth the discomfort if the end result was two distinct eyebrows. Looking in the mirror after the procedure, I was stunned by how wide awake my eyes appeared.
With a pencil that matched my brow colour, Navkiran added more definition while maintaining the natural appearance of my brows. If I was not sold on this Vancouver eyebrow threading salon by the look of youth and vitality around my eyes, I jumped off the fence when Navikran began the face and arm massage as part of my brow treatment. After hours spent holding my baby and hefting toddlers my arms were tense and sore. Post massage I was like a limp rag doll, half asleep in the chair.
Other services offered at 4 Angels are lash and brow tints and plucking hair from any where (on the face). Prices range from $10-$50.
Vancouver Eyebrow Threading
I published an ‘after’ photo on my Instagram feed and one friend commented, “Once you go threaded, you never go back!” I for one will never go back to the unibrow but I will definitely visit 4 Angels Beauty Care again.
