It’s time to celebrate Valentine’s in Vancouver with kids. It’s a lot less romance. A little more Disney. In fact, it looks quite different than life pre-kids. But that doesn’t mean you can’t shout your love from the rooftops (or a couch à la Tom Cruise). After all, kids often love to celebrate their love and friendships … and don’t we need that now more than ever?
Family-friendly ideas to show your love this Valentine’s Day with kids in Vancouver.
1. Create Valentine’s Day art with heart
Add a little creative inspiration to your Valentine’s Day with a family workshop at 4Cats Art Studio. During the month of February, families can create their own porcelain heart bubble mugs from scratch. The workshop takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and you’ll need to book a second visit to finish glazing the mugs, where you’ll learn how to create intricate patterns with bubbles. And after your sessions, you’ll each walk away with a love memento from your special day together. Note that kids must be aged 6+ to participate in the family workshop.

Born and raised on the North Shore, Lindsay loves calling this picturesque part of the world home. After having spent more than 12 years working in a PR agency, Lindsay hung up her heels and stepped back to focus on life at home with her husband and two girls. She’s still figuring out what she wants to be when she grows up, but you can bet it will involve writing … and eating cookies.
