Vancouver Mom to Follow: Emelia Symington Fedy of Trying to be Good

This week’s Mom to Follow is Emelia Symington Fedy is a performer, writer, radio producer and creator of tryingtobegood.com, the website that talks about darkness to shed some light. Emelia loves working with women online and in person, supporting them in putting their creativity first, at all costs, because if we are not doing what we love it affects the whole family. Emelia works one-on-one to teach women how to “be themselves” onstage and online and leads a glorious retreat in Hawaii every year for the same reasons.
Mostly, Emelia loves making connections with other women, buoying each other up and helping each other shine. Her “bookcast” is about to debut. Subscribe at tryingtobegood.com for 50% off this memoir that will make you laugh/cry.
Places Emelia loves!
Sal y Limon
Every single Friday at 5 pm before it gets crowded the 2 littles and hubs and I go here for awesome tacos and the staff don’t care how crazy the boys get and my man and I might get 5 minutes in to talk while the kids play in the kids section. Heaven.
#5, 701 Kingsway Street, Vancouver, 604-677-4247
Paper Crane
A new coffee shop on Broadway near St George. Great lattes, free wifi and isn’t too cool yet. My new favourite place to go and write.
531 E Broadway, Vancouver, (236) 888-8579
Acorn
If a miracle occurs and my partner and I get a babysitter we go to The Acorn on Main St every time. The food is art. It’s healthy, mostly vegan and then we do it in the car. (Ed note: tee hee)

Isn’t it time you followed Emelia and Trying to be Good
