Musical Nooners on the CBC Plaza
CBC’s popular Musical Nooners are back for the 9th year. Join them weekdays from 12-1 pm for free live concerts on the CBC Plaza in downtown Vancouver. Don’t miss opening day on July 10th, where they’ll celebrate Indigenous culture with Mob Bounce, a northwest coast Native hip-hop duo, and Mr. Bannock, an Indigenous food truck.
Protip: Pick up a cold brewed coffee at the on-site, outdoor JJ Bean!
Vancouver Symphony at Sunset Beach
Likely due to the popularity of below, the VSO is also presenting a concert in Vancouver on Sunset Beach. Talk about a magical setting. The VSO is kicking off its 100th anniversary with this bound to be jam-packed free concert.
Protip: Get there early with your low backed chair or just wing it while you whip down the English Bay waterslide.
Symphony in the Park
Pack a picnic, set your blanket up on the grassy knoll and take in the symphonic strains of the VSO! This wildly popular annual event features the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park on July 8th for a free performance.

Burnaby Sundays Concerts
Burnaby’s Civic Square for the Summer Sundays Concerts features music and activities outdoors Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm. Free admission.
Summer in the Square at Wesbrook Village
Be regaled and entertained in Wesbrook Village‘s Norman MacKenzie Square through the warm summer months. Performances take place twice a week, from now to September 4th.
Protip: Grab a cold one at BierCraft or an iced coffee from Blenz and sit out on their patios and listen from there.
Summer Sundays at Rocky Point Park
Rocky Point Park’s Summer Sundays feature FREE blues, soul, funk, R&B and reggae concerts take place at 2 pm on Sundays run throughout the summer!
Protip: Arrive hungry and bring a suit and towel for the kids! There’s to die for ice cream, a spray park and PAJOs are all right there at the ready!
Music in Oak Park

Bringing friends and neighbours out to the park to enjoy live, family-friendly music by local artists is a goal we can all get behind! Enjoy lawn seating, hot dogs and snacks from the youth concession (proceeds supporting youth programs) and games and activities for kids, as well as, of course, some toe-tappin’ tunes by Las Divas, who were crowned Donegal’s Irish House Battle of the Bands Champs.
Protip: Bring a bathing suit for the kids or a towel so they can cool off in the water park.
