For the budding artists out there – there are some great options in Vancouver for the 5 and under crowd. If you’re a bit of a risk taker or don’t mind an in home makeover, pick up some toddler friendly art supplies at some of the locations below and welcome hours or at least minutes of creative fun.

Collage Collage
Collage Collage is a must visit boutique art studio and shop that will have you wanting to come back time and time again. Whether youre looking for a take home project, a weekend activity with the kids, drop in or a weekly registered class, this place offers it all for kids aged 2+. Weekly classes, which are listed on their website, take on a process oriented approach starting with a story time session that inspires subsequent art making and encourages children to truly learn as they have fun creating and crafting. Babes in arms are welcome for parent – caregiver classes if attending with a preschooler and children age 5+ can participate in drop off classes. Remember to check out their carefully curated book collection and to leave a few minutes for to peruse their art inspiring supplies for home.
Feel like your child is more of a free spirit artist? Check out their daily open studio time that runs from 12pm-4pm daily ($15).
Chorus and Clouds
This gem reminds us that even the littlest ones in our family can enjoy art experiences! The Infant / Toddler art club welcomes littles from age 7 months to 2 years with a musical warm up and then moves into hands on arts and crafts creation. The experience includes art, music and sensory play as everyone finishes their art there is a chance to mingle and explore the wonderful space which is built for curious little minds.
Planning in advance too hard? Chorus and Clouds takes drops-ins provided there is space in the class. Show up 10 minutes before class or call in to see if you might be in luck.
Arts Umbrella
Arts Umbrella a non-profit art school focused on cultivating various art experiences. Visual fine arts programs are offered at two of their locations, one on Granville Island and the other in Surrey. For kids whose creativity is overflowing and can’t seem to get enough art time – this is a great option as there are half day and full day immersion programs for preschoolers and up.
