Re-Connecting with Collage Collage

We first connected with Collage Collage on Kingsway in late 2010. Located near 15th and Fraser, it’s one of many fabulous businesses located in this up-and-coming Vancouver neighbourhood. We do love to get our craft on here at VancouverMom.ca, so when we had the chance to connect with Collage Collage owner Erin Boniferro for our podcast, we took it.

Collage Collage opened in September, 2009. As Erin says, they’re “barely old enough to take their own classes”. Part art school, part book and toy store, and part art studio, the store aims to make art accessible to everyone. Erin herself attended Emily Carr in Vancouver to hone her artistic chops, and she is a practicing artist. She combined that background with her love of engaging children and families in art to create Collage Collage. She describes the journey she’s taken as a dream come true. Art and dreams and classes for kids – what’s not to love?

Podcast with Erin Boniferro

We were excited to connect with Erin for our podcast. During the podcast Erin talks about her experiences opening and running Collage Collage. If you’re looking ahead to summer, she shares some of the programming she’ll be offering during the school vacation to keep kids busy and having fun. She also gives us some tips for keeping our own kids engaged in art. And she shares some of the tools you’ll find at Collage Collage to get you started. If you have a budding artist or two in your house, Erin has you covered.

Whether you’re looking for a class, some inspiration to get your creative juices flowing, or some ideas for how to make art with your kids, you’ll want to listen to our podcast with Erin Boniferro:
