A colour explosion is happening in Vancouver! The change of seasons is a gorgeous time of the year. From the rainbow foliage to the tree flanked Vancouver streets, to the hazy greys of Spanish Banks – take advantage of our pretty city to snap a few for the ‘gram. Mother Nature is making it easy to find the perfect backdrop to match your Instafeed.
Cool Vancouver spots for Fall Instagrams!
Spanish Banks
If muted greys and Smokey blues is what you’re after, check out Spanish Banks. The Vancouver grey skies make the ideal light for taking photos – not too warm, not too dark. The driftwood lends a nice warmth and who doesn’t love a backdrop of the water?
Pro tip: Get your kiddo to jump off a log for an action shot.
Richmond Country Farms
If you’re not so into foliage on your feed, head over to Richmond Country Farms for the best fall florals and country themed shots.
Pro Tip: Snap one in front of their wall of firewood. It screams cozy fall without too many contrasting colours.
Mundy Park Trail
Nothing like going on a photo walk in the fall. Our favourite is Mundy Park Trail. The trail, which is lined by extra tall trees, is amazing this time of year! The curved trees are even more spectacular, creating a cozy effect with with a bit of gloominess.
Kousa Dogwood Trees at Wesbrook Village
Wesbrook Village trees called Kousa Dogwoods that grow big, beautiful berries. They look amazing in fall photos. They add great dimension in a sea of evergreen. Taking photos can work up an appetite so stop by the Biercraft patio for a pint and appies with the kiddos!
Lit up Patch at Harvest Glow
Alright, if you haven’t been to Harvest Glow, what are you waiting for? Tons of photo ops (check out the post here) all of which are all fall themed!
Pro Tip: If you like your feed bright and white, be sure to snap a photo at the pumpkin patch area against the lit up white wall.
Stanley Park
Find a giant tree and take a photo under it! Stanley Park has a bunch to choose from!
Hike For That Shot
The cooler weather doesn’t mean that all outdoorsy activities have to come to a halt. Some hiking trails may be less busy and that means more time for photos! Quarry Rock in North Vancouver is a favourite around here. The blue-grey skies fit into any Insta feed.

Simon Fraser University
The cement architecture at SFU is unique and beautiful in photos. When fall comes around, it adds a shot of brightness and contrast to the grey walls, adding warmth. We recommend the doorway shots!
