Surrey’s Free FIFA World Cup Fan Zones

This summer, families across the Lower Mainland have the perfect reason to head to Surrey. The City of Surrey is hosting Surrey Soccer Fan Zones from June 11 to July 19, 2026. There will be free public viewing events where the whole community can gather and experience the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 26™.

No entry fee. Just giant screens, food trucks, and the entire world watching soccer together.

Where Are the Fan Zones?

Three locations across Surrey are hosting the action:

  • Surrey Civic Plaza (outdoors, tented seating for shade)
  • Cloverdale Agriplex (indoors — great for those warm summer days)
  • South Surrey Athletic Park (outdoors, also tented)

Additional locations may be announced closer to the tournament. For updates, visit surreysoccerfanzones.ca.

Each spot will feature live match broadcasts on large screens, live entertainment, community soccer activities, food trucks, and beer gardens. This event is something for every age and every kind of fan.

Save the Date: June 12

The official launch kicks off on June 12 at Surrey Civic Plaza, when Canada’s men’s national soccer team takes the field. Families can cheer on the team alongside their neighbours with special entertainment and activities to start the celebration right.

Why This Is Worth the Trip

This is the first-ever 48-team FIFA World Cup 26™, co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with matches spread across 16 host cities including Vancouver and Toronto. The Surrey Soccer Fan Zones connect that global excitement to local communities, creating a shared space for residents and visitors to celebrate together.

Mayor Brenda Locke put it simply: these are meant to be safe, welcoming spaces where families can enjoy the games, cheer on their favourite teams, and make summer memories.

Surrey is one of the most culturally diverse cities in Canada, and these fan zones are a chance to celebrate that through sport, food, and community spirit.

The Bottom Line

It’s free. It runs for six weeks. And families get to watch history unfold, the biggest soccer tournament on the planet right in their own city.

Mark the calendar, grab the jerseys, and pack the sunscreen.
