Where to Eat in Vancouver: East Cafe

East Van is covered in amazing little places to grab a bite to eat and East Café should be up at the top of your list of where to eat in Vancouver. Whether it is for lunch or a late night piece of warm pie accompanied by candlelight and music they will have something to warm your belly. They have been the rising stars of the East Van community getting amazing reviews left right and centre and for very good reason.

Cozy Food to Keep You WarmWhere to Eat in Vancouver East Cafe

With their homey and cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff, stopping in for a visit is always pleasant and always worth it. With fall here and winter around the corner the smell of cinnamon, apples, pumpkin and coffee are always strong in the air. Their pumpkin spice lattes are spectacular. I have to admit and I can’t help but drink mine way too fast. They also make a mean cappuccino on their vintage La Marzocco Linea espresso machine, something that is a huge must for me in terms of where to eat in Vancouver for a quick bite and a hot drink.

They have way more to offer than just a great drink. For instance, they feature To Die For Banana Bread and an amazing and ever changing array of pies from The Pie Hole.  Two of the pies are simply too amazing for words – the “Fat Elvis” and their Fall feature the” Bourbon Pecan Pumpkin Pie”. I have devoured both on a few occasions.

Where to Eat in Vancouver for a Coffeehouse Date Night

East Café is a great local treasure that clearly loves to support other amazing places here in the city, making it just that much more special.  Pair all of this with one of their amazing evening events and you have just created a lovely little date night filled with incredible atmosphere, great people and divine nibbles!  Some of their past performers have been: Brett Wildeman, Ciele and the Lynn Canyon Band.

During the day this is a great spot to shelter from the rain; people watch and enjoy the sights that the lively neighborhood has to offer over a unique specialty sandwich.  I could recommend any of them – they never disappoint. I would highly suggest trying something that you wouldn’t normally go for – I can promise you will be a complete convert!

So stop by, put your feet up and let East Café warm you from the inside out and turn any grey rainy day into an amazing one filled with comfort food.
