Kick Off Summer Fun with Family-Friendly FIFA Club World Cup Viewing Parties in Wesbrook Village, UBC

Grab the sunscreen, pack a picnic, round up the kids, call the dog, and head to Wesbrook Village for an afternoon of soccer, snacks, splashing, and summer fun.

Now through July 13, UBC Properties Trust invites soccer fans, families, local residents and community members to experience the excitement of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Matches throughout the coveted tournament, which will make its way to Vancouver in 2026, are broadcast live on a large outdoor screen in Norman MacKenzie Square. Families are invited to gather and cheer under a shaded tent with seating to enjoy world-class FIFA soccer all day long alongside fellow fans and sports enthusiasts, young and old.

This free, all-ages event offers an accessible and welcoming space at Vancouver’s best outdoor, family-friendly World Cup screening. The site is pet-friendly for pups on leashes, and two-hour free parking is available. Guests can bring picnics or enjoy neighbouring food venues like Nicli Pizzeria + Bar, Togo Sushi, and Sports Illustrated Clubhouse.

Seating for approximately 200 is available in the viewing tent on a first-come, first-served basis. For little ones training to be future soccer stars or who need space to run off energy, there’s plenty of room to spread out a blanket, cheer on your favourite team, and enjoy the festive, family-focused vibe.

At half time, take a break from the action and explore Wesbrook Village. A few minutes walk from the Viewing Party location is Wesbrook Community Park, home to a children’s splash pad and recreational soccer field. Add in the lush Pacific Spirit Park trails, locally-owned cafes, ice cream spots, and playgrounds nearby, and it’s an easy, affordable, and memorable afternoon the whole family will love.
