Our Favourite Holiday Markets for Kids and Families

The season for gift giving and shopping local is here! There are a multitude of creative talents sharing their crafts and creations with holiday markets all around Vancouver. From kiddie toys and photography to sweet smelling candles and tasty treats – there are gifts for everyone in the family! By visiting these festive markets and buying local, we’re strengthening our local economy, reducing environmental impact and supporting the incredible community of small businesses in our neighbourhoods. Also, no shipping delays! Enjoy shopping all things creative, fun and festive at some of our favourite holiday markets.

Chanukah Market at the J

Tickets: Donation to the food bank


Celebrate the beginning of Chanukah with live music and family entertainment at the Jewish Community Centre. This market features latkes and Chanukah cookies, dreidels, Chanukah candles, greeting cards, art, food trucks, a book exchange and more fun gifting options. There will be a bouncy castle for kids, as well as raffles. A candle lighting event takes places at 5pm. All are welcome to this holiday market and event!

Tugboat Landing Artisan Market 

When: Sat Dec 4 11am – 4pm
Where: Habour Master Club
2010 East Kent Avenue, Vancouver
Tickets: Free

Tugboat Landing Artisan Market is a curated boutique artisan market where the fire will be lit and Christmas music will be playing. Hot and cold treats served by donation will benefit the Wildlife Rescue Association. This family-friendly shopping experience features chocolate, cute handsewn bags in fun designs, knitting, children’s books, beauty and bath products, jewelry, and lots of other goodies!

Japan Market

Japan Market presents over 35 vendors of Japanese inspired products, made by Japanese crafters. This female-led market offers jewelry, health and beauty, clothes, accessories, handmade crafts, chocolate, tea, sweets and much more! Shop unique gifts and enjoy tasty treats.

Weirdos Market

For those hard-to-buy-for, find the perfect gift at the Weirdos Market. Vibrant vendors and artists share unconventional gifts from the quirky and unusual to the strange and bizarre. Curious kids will love exploring the rare and fun, often upcycled collections on display. Find taxidermy, collectibles, jewelry, textiles, one of a kind art, scientific interest and more. You can also enjoy the spooky author’s table, tarot card readings, Punk Rock Pastries, music, hot chocolate and some grown-up beverages.

It’s the first year for the Gift & Gather Market at our favourite co-work and childcare space. This intentionally curated market features local brands and artists with a mix of adult and children’s offerings. All vendors are local and female identifying and many are Vancouver Moms themselves! Here you’ll find a fantastic mix of adult and children’s offerings from vendors like Mi & Bear, City and She and Skwálwen Botanicals. Where: Croatian Cultural Centre

This curated marketplace showcases the best in independent craft and design. Shop gifts like jewelry, ceramics, clothing, artisan food, drink, and paper goods all with an emphasis on handmade. With 80 local makers and small shops there’s something for everyone on your list. Highlights include kid and family vendors such as Raising Humans Co, GingerSnap’s Crochet, Roxypop, and new creative art DIY kits by Chu Chu. Back by popular demand, is the mini makers area with kidpreneurs aged 5-13 years old selling their own handmade creations.
