Kid-Friendly Vancouver: Your Little Dancers Could be in the Nutcracker
Goh Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker is a magical, kid-friendly Vancouver tradition each holiday season. Here at Vancouver Mom we are big fans of the show. The classical rendition has inspired many local children to dance, as they pictured themselves up on that stage. Now your own little dancers have an opportunity to make that dream a reality, and perform this upcoming holiday season.
Kid-Friendly Vancouver Auditions
On Sunday, May 4, 2014 Ms. Chan Hon Goh, Executive Producer of The Nutcracker, is holding an open audition. Students aged six and older with ballet training, as well as professional dancers from across BC, are invited to try out. There are many parts available for both junior and senior dancers.
For aspiring dancers this is a rare – and perhaps once-in-a-lifetime – chance. The performers at this kid-friendly Vancouver will show will share the stage with internationally renowned guest stars as well as showcase their beautiful training to the live accompaniment of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra. From costumes, to playing to a packed house, to gaining new experiences, this is sure to be an amazing opportunity for young dancers.
