Free and cheap family friendly events this weekend March 7 & 8 2020

Check out a one-day tulip installation at Metropolis at Metrotown if you just can’t wait for the real thing. And not-to-be-missed is the weekend-long celebration of all thing francophone at Festival de Bois in Coquitlam. Looking for a night out? Vancouver TheatreSports has a special IWD show on Sunday night that should be laugh out loud funny.

I Heart Tulips at Metropolis at Metrotown

March 7 2020 Burnaby

Spring arrives early at Metropolis at Metrotown this year. This one-day-only installation of 14,000 live red and white tulips is set up in support of Variety – the Children’s Charity in the mall’s Grand Court. Pick tulips for a donation and snap a selfie. Brought to you by the green thumbs at the Chilliwack Tulip Festival.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this event is sadly cancelled.

Grab your gear and get fired up for the first free family concert in the Kevin Mooney Fire Hall Series presented by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival. See Jen Hodge All Stars perform Jelly Roll Morton tunes at the North Vancouver Vancouver Fire Hall. PS: Bring donations for the Burn Fund.
