VM Picks: Summer Bucket List, a Q&A with Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa

Summerland really does sound like the place to be in July or August! A visit to the stunning resort will leave everyone in the family satisfied, relaxed and happy. Think magnificent pool, nearby vineyards, a glittering lake and the comfiest beds this side of the Rockies. We chatted with the resort about its family friendly summer program.

Give us a brief description of what you are all about.

Amidst the beauty of vineyards and dramatic landscapes, the Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa is set on a secluded stretch of Okanagan Lake shoreline, 15 minutes north of Penticton and 45 minutes south of Kelowna. The lakefront resort hotel features 115 condo-style suites, each well appointed with a full kitchen, dining and living areas, fireplace and most offer a balcony for stunning lakefront views. You are invited to live the Okanagan lifestyle and enjoy two outdoor hot tubs, a large outdoor pool with sundeck, barbecues, cozy beachfront, SWR boat rentals, fitness room, Okanagan events and meeting venues, as well as the Beyond Wrapture Day Spa.

Summerland Waterfront Resort is a favourite Okanagan hotel for its relaxed style paired with practical and convenient amenities. Each hotel suite features a full kitchen with all the cooking equipment and a dining area. The living room feels like home with a fireplace and flat screen TV equipped with cable and on-demand movies. Designed for rest and relaxation, the bedrooms each offer sumptuous memory-foam beds with pillow-top mattresses and premium duvet bedding. Spacious and modern, the bathrooms boast rain showers with deep soaker tubs, spa-inspired bath amenities and plush terry bathrobes.
