Kids shaking hands at net

Have a mini Roger Federer or Serena Williams in the house? Or maybe your kids just like to whack the ball around. Tennis BC Hub welcomes newbies and experienced players alike for camps that emphasize skill building, fun and social connection.

Tennis BC Hub is your community home for public tennis in the Lower Mainland, a collective of tennis courts and centres in the Lower Mainland operated by Tennis BC, BC’s official governing body for the sport of tennis. They offer classes for 3-18 year olds as well as summer camps for kids aged 6-12.

Summer Tennis Camps for Kids

All their camps use the “Progressive Tennis” system of modified courts and balls designed for the age and/or skill level of the players. Scale appropriate learning is used by many other sports including T-Ball and mini-soccer. Tennis is learned faster and more easily through this system.

All camps also include a physical development component heavily focused on developing FUNdamental movement skills through various FUN off-court games and activities.

Summer camps take place from 9 am to 12 pm, or 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Friday at the Richmond or Stanley Park locations and cost $225/week.

Tennis Camps – Red, 6-7 yrs

Players are introduced to tennis through a fun, active and engaging environment. Using progressive tennis, players will fall in love with the sport using a low-compression ball on a red court. A variety of modified games will be used to emphasize the development of fundamental movement and motor skills.
