Carolyn Fuhrmann’s Favourite Things
Every few weeks, we’ll introduce you to a local Vancouver mom who’ll share with you some of her favourite essentials. This week it’s Carolyn Fuhrmann of Pink Dot Design. Carolyn has three kids under five years old and lives on the Sunshine Coast.
Favourite Thing For Your Kids
Hopscotch Kids Nail Polish. My two girly girls (ages four-and-a-half and two-and-a-half) love painted nails. I love that this product is safe, non toxic and hypoallergenic. Not to mention eco-friendly! Fave colour: teddy bear teddy bear.
Favourite Thing For You
Starbucks (my day starts by 5 am!). Red wine in the evening.
Favourite Thing For Work
Hands down, my Blackberry.
Favourite Place in Vancouver
Stanley Park. Walking the seawall, visiting the aquarium, or just hanging out with a picnic by the playgrounds.
Favourite Birthday Gift Idea
Anything Melissa and Doug – love their craft projects.
Favourite Kids Book
Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann. Being all things pink, this book has inspired my 4 1/2 year old daughter to request a “pinkalicious birthday party” which has in turn inspired my business, Pink Dot Design, to create an upcoming line of personalized themed “printables” so party items can all coordinate (think decorations/invitations/thank you cards/favour tags/cupcake toppers, etc.)
Favourite Restaurant
Red Robin. Before you laugh, my 16-month-old son has severe allergies to dairy, egg, peanuts and tree nuts. I am a celiac. Eating out can be a scary thing for us! They are very “allergy wise” at Red Robin and all 3 children enjoy the food and the atmosphere. My husband and I can breathe easier knowing the epipen will stay put.
