Instagram Challenge: Celebrate Spring Side-by-Side
It’s that time again – we’re announcing the next round of our Instagram challenge. For the next two weeks we’re asking you to snap photos of yourself and your kids celebrating spring together. Then, post them to Instagram and tag them with #mamaintheshot. It’s really easy, and if you play along you’ll be automatically entered to win a fabulous prize. You may enter more than once, if you get more than one photo that fits the spring theme. So think about what reminds you of this season, whether it’s spring showers, cherry blossoms, planting seeds, or playing at the park on a sunny day.
Instagram Challenge
We’re teaming up with Jenn Di Spirito Photography for the #mamaintheshot Instagram challenge. Jenn believes – and we agree – that moms need more photos of themselves with their children. So often we’re the ones who play photographer. Also, many of us don’t particularly love the way we look in photos. But one day your kids will be all grown up, and you’ll wish you had more shots showing the everyday moments of your life with them. This Instagram challenge is meant to encourage you to get those photos while you can. To give you extra incentive, at the end of the two weeks, we’ll choose one winner. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate from Jenn Di Spirito Photography. After three months, at the end of the Instagram challenge, a winner will be randomly selected to receive a free photo session.
How to Participate
Here’s how to participate in the Instagram challenge:

- Follow vancouver_mom and jenndispirito on Instagram.
- Every other Friday, look for an update from both of us filling you in on the new theme.
- Snap as many photos with you and your kids as you like, keeping the Spring theme in mind. Tag them with #mamaintheshot by 11:59pm on April 25, 2013.
Note: you must live in, or be able to travel to, the Vancouver area in order to claim your prize.
The Little Moments
The small moments are so important. They are the stuff of real life with kids, and they are the moments we spend most of our daily life inhabiting. We hope that this challenge will encourage you to take more photos of these little moments with your children, and that you’ll be able to look back on the memories they hold fondly.
