Trending: Sea to Sky Gondola Second Birthday
The Sea to Sky Gondola, that spectacular ride into the sky, is already two years old, and they’ve got a list of activities ready for Saturday. If you haven’t been yet, this weekend is a great time to plan a visit.
Family-friendly activities
There’s a magic show starting at 10:30am, followed by face-painting, a beading station, and family games likes bean bag toss, ladder ball, and board games running all day until 4pm. There’s a special walking tour geared towards families leaving the Summit Plaza at 2pm. It’s worth noting you can book for that tour in advance by emailing [email protected].
Local Squamish bands
Check out some local talent on the Summit Lodge deck, including performances by Doug Brubacher, Cam Salay + Emily Ashcroft (banjo ninja), Squamptones, and Tantalus Pass.
Amazing views, hikes, and kid-friendly snacks
Of course there’s still the incredible gondola ride, the suspension bridge, and many trails for all levels of hikers. There are food options up top too, complete with kids menu featuring all the usual favourites like macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches with ham, hot dogs, and veggies with dip.
It’s worth buying your gondola tickets ahead of time online (at least 12 hours in advance), to skip the line-up, save a few dollars, and streamline your visit as much as you can. Happy second birthday Sea to Sky Gondola!
Sea to Sky Gondola is on Hwy 99, 2 hours south of Squamish
