VM Mom to Follow: Casey James of TRYBE Wellness
This month’s VM Mom to Follow is Casey James of TYRBE Wellness. Casey is the mother of a 5-year old son and 2-year old daughter and lives in West Vancouver with her husband. She shares her favourite places to go on the North Shore and West Vancouver.
Navigating the journey of motherhood was a huge learning curve for Casey. She believes in following the inner cues she gets to support her in prioritizing her health and well-being amidst the beautiful mess that is motherhood. But with all things, it’s often easier said than done, which is why she also created TRYBE Wellness – a community-driven resource for modern women in motherhood (because it takes a village!)
The TRYBE Wellness Membership program is a monthly online space supporting the motherhood journey through resources, online classes, live chats and an extended network of health & wellness experts that support women in embracing all of the changes, transformations, intricacies and emotions that come with it. TRYBE Wellness hosts quarterly Member Weeks & Retreats – bringing women together locally through wellness workshops and small member gatherings.
P.S. Casey also is the President of Sense and Savvy Consulting Services facilitating lifestyle brands with Brand and Marketing.
Places Casey loves to go with her family!
Dundarave Beach and Seawall
When I was a young girl, this was one of my favourite beaches and now, it is where we take our kids. It’s a quieter park/beach and has a lot of picnic tables where we usually bring dinner once a week in the summer and watch the cruise ships go by.
Heirloom Café, West Vancouver
This is one of my favourite places to get work done outside my home office.I love coming here for meetings or just have alone time in between school drop offs/pick ups. They have great chai lattes with homemade almond milk – it reminds me of my past favourites when our family owned a lifestyle/tea concept.
1390 Marine Dr, West Vancouver, (604) 281-2241
Jane Forester, Chinese Doctor at Bellevue Natural Health Clinic
I’ve seeing Jane for over 10 years for acupuncture and support through both my pregnancies. She has a huge heart and really understand the woman’s body and what each of her patient needs with a holistic approach.
1467 Bellevue Ave, West Vancouver, (604) 913-2262
Tots and Tunes, North Vancouver
This is my daughter’s favourite music classes (and mine too!) Every week they sing fun and educational age-appropriate songs including boxes of various instruments, silk scarfs for dancing and the all time favourite – rainbow parachute.
1212 Welch St, North Vancouver, [email protected]
Whyte Lake
This is one just for me and the hubby – we love to get outside in nature for day dates. Whyte Lake has a beautiful lake and dock where we are just sit in stillness, put our feet in the water and listen to just the sounds of nature.
5626-5647 Westport Rd, West Vancouver
