National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Visitors are invited to Fort Langley National Historic Site on Saturday, September 28, for a special event dedicated to this significant day. The event will feature a presentation by Len Pierre of Len Pierre Consulting, an Indigenous leadership, innovation, and transformation consulting group. Attendees can explore the Métis Nation BC exhibit in the Big House, watch Indigenous films in the theatre, and craft an Orange Shirt Day button.

Fall Fun at Metropolis at Metrotown
Metropolis at Metrotown and Tourism Burnaby have teamed up to bring some Halloween magic to BC’s biggest shopping centre! From September 16 to October 31, families can experience “Fall Fun at the Met,” a festive celebration filled with a spooky escape room, pumpkin carving, and a pie-eating contest.
Now an annual tradition, “Fall Fun at the Met” is all about celebrating the season with themed displays and immersive décor. This year, the event is even more exciting, thanks to a partnership with Tourism Burnaby, which adds the Burnaby Halloween Festival to the mix.

Riverfest
Hosted by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, representing the Port of Vancouver, RiverFest is a family-friendly event you won’t want to miss! This FREE festival, happening on September 28 and 29, offers fun for all ages.
On Saturday, visitors can wander the boardwalk and take in live performances, explore the exhibitor expo and market, and watch the Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade. Sunday offers guided walks at various scenic spots along the river, perfect for a relaxing day out with the family.

Greendale Acres – Chilliwack Corn Maze
This year, the Chilliwack Corn Maze is teaming up with 93.7 JR Country to turn their 10-acre cornfield into a celebration featuring country star Luke Bryan. The maze showcases a design of the five-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and American Idol judge, complete with him strumming a guitar and a pair of cowboy boots. A Must see and do!
